Meet Zara

Glad to serve and be of service

Zara R. Broadenax was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She attended Southern University and A & M College and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting. She received her Masters of Science in Management from Troy University.

Zara is a contributing author in two #1 International Best Selling books, “Beyond the Woman” and “100 Voices of Inspiration, Awakening & Empowerment”. She is placing the finishing touches to her first children’s book designed to inform preschoolers on the fun awaiting them at school. Zara also dabbles with traditional and modern Creole/Cajun recipes for a future cookbook.

As a licensed minister, ordained elder, and founder of WELLWoman Ministries, Zara specializes in Christian inspirational and Christian urban novels. She is currently writing a Christian inspirational book showcasing the journey of spiritual birthing concepts and ideas designed to pursue purpose and fulfill destiny. Weekly, Zara hosted “A Virtuous Life”; her webcast which took everyday issues/situations and implemented Christian application towards resolutions.

An entrepreneur at heart, Zara is the CEO and owner of Gathering House Publishing or GHP. GHP helps ordinary people create, produce, market, publish, and distribute high quality and extraordinary books. GHP is a hybrid publishing company.

Zara is a 2015-2016 Inductee, VIP Woman of the Year Circle for the National Association of Professional Women. She is a 2017 nc Member of Continental Who’s Who. She also holds membership in Blacks in Government (B.I.G.) and The ROCKS, Inc.

True to her life’s mantra of “glad to serve and to be of service,” Zara’s servant hood extends beyond her personal life. Zara is a retired Soldier from the United States Army. She serves as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She holds membership in Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority,Inc.; Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity; and Phi Beta Lambda Business Fraternity.

Zara is married and the mother of two beautiful daughters.
